Sun Yu-li is one of Singapore’s leading artist who has put Singapore on the world map with overseas installations and exhibitions. Sun’s intention of art is through his interest in topology, archaeology, metaphysics, linguistics and mathematics. His artistic pursuit of truth is not in forms per se but in finding the form from which all forms originate. His art is an expression of abstract thought based on a metaphysical principle which he discovered and coined Universal Language (UL).
